Following the advances of basic sciences and clinical pathology, the revisions and addition are most evident in portions pertaining to molecular biology and genetics. Other aspects of modern pathology have not been neglected either and contain numerous novelties; even the seasoned specialists will learn something new from each and every chapter. Furthermore, the author has dramatically increased the number of illustrations, which are so essential for understanding Pathology. The distribution of illustrations has also been changed so that they are now much closer to the text to which they relate. For the new generation of modern students who have grown up next to the computers, the author has placed all the images and tables on the website with facility for downloading them. These images will serve the twin purpose of quick review and self-assessment for students and will appeal to Pathology teachers who could use them for their lectures, being assured that their students will have access to the same material for review and study. The Quick Review Book, the ever popular companion to the previous two Editions, was also updated, succinctly supplementing the main text. It will provide a helpful study material to many a student and help them review the subject for examinations.
