Khurana is currently Professor and Unit Head, Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO), Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak. The present volume is an outcome of more than twenty eight years of his active interest in teaching. His other eight books, namely Anatomy and Physiology of Eye, Theory and Practice of Squint and Orthoptics, Theory and Practice of Refraction, Modern Ophthalmology for Ayurveda Students, Practical Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology : QTR and MCQs, Ophthalmic Nursing and Review of Ophthalmology have been well received by the medical students and resident doctors in ophthalmology. In addition to his ten books, he has also contributed nine chapters for three postgraduate reference books published from India and abroad. He has been the editor of Haryana Journal of Ophthalmology (HJO) and North Zone Journal of Ophthalmology (NZJO) of India. Dr. Khurana was awarded WHO Fellowship for higher studies at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He was also selected for a study course and awarded ’Certificate in Tropical Ophthalmology’ at Institute of Ophthalmology University of London (UK). He has been bestowed with ’Distinguished Author Award ’by Federation of Educational Publishers of India.
