Розуміння специфіки часу й умов, коли ймовірність виникнення аварій збільшується, може сприяти розробці та впровадженню ефективних заходів безпеки на дорогах. Отримані відомості щодо часових тенденцій скоєння ДТП можуть стати основою для розроблення стратегій попередження аварій, встановлення спеціальних попереджувальних заходів або рекомендацій щодо оптимального користування дорогами в певний час Мета роботи. Визначення часових закономірностей виникнення дорожньо-транспортних пригод та ідентифікація найбільш ймовірних інтервалів їх виникнення. Результати. Було показане, що найбільш ймовірним періодом протягом доби для смертельних ДТП є 18.00-23.00, також вони частіше відбуваються у святкові та вихідні дні з тенденцією до збільшення в зимові місяці. Отже, ДТП мають чітко виражені часові особливості, в яких зазначена підвищена ймовірність виникнення. Висновок. The results showed that the most likely time of day for fatal crashes is between 6.00 p.m. and 11.00 p.m., and they also occur more often on holidays and weekends, with a tendency to increase in the winter months.
