Стисло викладено новітні дані про актуальність цієї інфекції, її етіологію, епідеміологію, патогенетичні та клінічні особливості хвороби. Наголошено, що розвиток захворювання з тяжкими проявами та рецидивами більш характерний для недоношених дітей або новонароджених з обтяженим преморбідним фоном, для людей із муковісцидозом, первинними та вторинними імунодефіцитними станами, зокрема ВІЛ-інфікованих. Особливу увагу приділено новітнім методам діагностики цього захворювання. Висвітлено основні аспекти лікування та шляхи профілактикиThe article is devoted to the rare, but crucial issue of modernity – disease in humans caused by Bordetella bronchiseptica. The latest data about importance of the infection, its etiology, epidemiology, pathogenetical and clinical peculiarities of the disease are briefly described. In the article it is emphasized that development of the illness with severe manifestations and relapses is more typical premature infants or newborns with underlying diseases, for individuals with cystic fibrosis, with primary and secondary immunodeficiency conditions, particularly in HIV-infected individuals.
