Annotation: У монографії узагальнено дані досліджень авторів та світової літератури про нейрофізіологічні механізми організації довільного руху у людини і тварин. На експериментальній інструментальній моделі їжодобувних рухів щурів вивчено роль структур мозку (мозочка, хвостатих ядер і моторної кори) у програмуванні й контролюванні швидких, балістичних рухів. Дослідження проводились комплексно, з використанням сучасних електрофізіологічних (реєстрація моторних потенціалів, активності окремих нейронів різних структур у тварин, які не сплять, при виконанні ними рухів), поведінкових (вплив стимуляції хвостатих і зубчастих ядер, а також оборотного та безоборотного виключення останніх на характер рухів), телереєстраційних методів з використанням автоматизованого комп’ютерного опрацювання експериментальних даних. Показано, що мозочок, особливо його зубчасті ядра, причетні до препрограмування швидких, балістичних рухів, а моторна кора - переважно до їх реалізації. Встановлено роль хвостатих ядер у підготовці й послідуючому контролі стереотипних балістичних рухів. Вивчено взаємодію між мозочком, хвостатими ядрами й моторною корою в регуляції швидких, балістичних рухів. Аргументуються висновки про високі пластичні властивості нейронів мозочка і моторної кори, а також про подібність ролі цих структур у регуляції швидких рухів.
