Annotation: Останні декілька років виявилися переломними в організації паліативної допомоги в Україні, оскільки нарешті розпочалося контра ктування Національною службою здоров'я України медичних закладів для забезпечення медичної складової паліативної допомоги — стаціонарної та мобільної. Також було ухвалено довгоочікуваний наказ МОЗ України від 04.06.2020 р. № 1308 «Про удосконалення організації надання паліативної допомоги в Україні». Він дає сучасне визначення цього комплексу заходів, яке відповідає такому Всесвітньої організації охорони здоров'я [1]. Наказом МОЗ від 06.04.2023 р. № 643 затверджено Стандарт медичної допомоги «Хронічний больовий синдром у дорослих та дітей». У другій половині 2023 р. розпочато відшкодування вартості препаратів морфіну у формі таблеток, розглядається питання щодо реімбурсації фентанілу у формі трансдермальних терапевтичних систем (пластирів)

Annotation: The review is devoted to the analysis of the relationship between a chemical structure and properties of low-molecular weight inhibitors of furin, the most studied proprotein convertase, which is involved in the development of some pathologies, such as oncologic diseases, viral and bacterial infections, etc. The latest data concerning the influence of peptides, pseudo-peptides, aromatic and heterocyclic compounds, some natural ones such as flavonoids, coumarins, and others on enzyme inactivation are considered. The power of furin inhibition is shown to rise with the increasing number of positively charged groups in the structure of these compounds. Peptidomimetics (Ki = 5-8 pM) are shown to be the most effective furin inhibitors. The synthesized substances, however, have not been used in practical application yet. Nowadays it is very important to find more selective inhibitors, improve their stability, bioavailability and safety for the human organism

Annotation: V. Pinchuk was born in Poltava. After graduating from O. Bogomolets Kyiv Medical Institute, he continued the studies as a postgraduate at the Department of Pathological Anatomy focusing on the pathology of the radiation-induced lesions due to external radiation and incorporated radionuclides. Thirty years later, this experience became especially useful in scientific-and-practical activities aimed at eliminating the consequences of Chernobyl catastropheSince 1961, V. Pinchuk started his professional career at the Ukrainian Research Institute of Experimental and Clinical Oncology of the Ministry of Health of Ukrainian SSR (since 1971 — Institute for Oncology Problems and nowadays — RE Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine), where he worked his way up from the researcher to the Head of the Department and the Academician. The scientific progress and creative growth of V. Pinchuk as the specialist in experimental oncology owed much to his experienced supervisor — Rostyslav Kavetsky, an excellent scientist of O. Bogomolets’ pathophysiological school
