Annotation: The analysis of scientific literature points to significant ethnic, racial, age and sexual differences in cephalometric indices obtained by the method of C. J. Burstone, which necessitates conducting similar cephalometric studies among different age and sex groups of the population of Ukraine with physiological bite. The purpose of the study is to establish and analyze the cephalometric parameters by the method of С. J. Burstone in boys and girls of the Podillia region of Ukraine with orthognathic bite. Primary lateral teleroentgenograms of 38 boys and55 girls with normal occlusion dose to orthognathic bite, obtained using the Veraviewepocs 3D device, Morita (Japan), were taken from the data bank of the research center of the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya. Cephalometric measurements were performed according to the recommendations of C. J. Burstone. The statistical processing of the obtained results was carried out in the licensed package "Statistica 6.0" using nonparametric methods for evaluating the obtained results. When comparing the cephalometric parameters used in the analysis ofC. J. Burstone between boys and girls with orthognathic bite in boys, the values of the following distances are significantly higher: Ar-Pt (Posterior Section of Cranial Base), Pt-N (Anterior Section of Cranial Base), N-ANS (Anterior Upper Facial Height), ANS-Cn (Anterior Lower Facial Height), PNS-N (Posterior Upper Facial Height), 11-М P( Distance of Incisal Edge of 1L to Palatal Plane), 6u-NF (Distance of Mesial Cusp of 6u to Palatal Plane), 61-MP (Distance of Mesial Cusp of 61 to Mandibular Plane), ANS-PNS (Maxillary Length), Ar-Go (Ramus Length), Go-Pog (Mandibular Length), B-Pog (distance from point Род to point B, parallel to mandibular plane) andA-B (Distance of A to В on Occl. Plane); and in girls - only angle OP-HP (Angle of Occl. to Horizontal Plane). More than half of the cephalometric parameters obtained in the boys and girls of Podillia with orthognathic bite have reliable or tendency differences with the magnitude of the parameters given by C. J. Burstone, which confirms the need to establish their regional standards for correct use in Ukraine
Аналіз наукової літератури вказує на значні етнічні, расові, вікові та статеві розбіжності цефалометричних показників, отриманих за методикою С. J. Burstone, що обумовлює необхідність проведення подібних цефалометричних досліджень серед різних вікових та статевих груп населення України з фізіологічним прикусом. Мета дослідження - встановити та проаналізувати цефалометричні параметри за методом С. J. Burstone у юнаків і дівчат Подільського регіону України з ортогнатичним прикусом. Первинні бокові телерентгенограми 38 юнаків і 55 дівчат з нормальною оклюзією наближеною до ортогнатичного прикусу, отримані за допомогою пристрою Veraviewepocs 3D, Моріта (Япония), взяті з банку даних науково-дослідного центру Вінницького національного медичного університету ім. М. і. Пирогова. Цефалометричні вимірювання проводили згідно рекомендацій С. J. Burstone. Статистична обробка отриманих результатів проведена в ліцензійному пакеті "Statistica 6.0" з використанням непараметричних методів оцінки отриманих результатів. При порівнянні цефалометричних параметрів які використовуються в аналізі С. J. Burstone між юнаками та дівчатами з ортогнатичним прикусом у юнаків встановлені достовірно більші значення наступних відстаней: Ar-Pt (задня частина основи черепа), Pt-N (передня частина основи черепа), N-ANS (передня верхня висота лиця), ANS-Gn (передня нижня висота лиця), PNS-N (задня верхня висота лиця), 11-МР (відстань від різального краю найбільш виступаючого до переду нижнього присереднього різця, до нижньощелепної площини), 6u-NF (відстань від ближньощічного вістря верхнього першого великого кутнього зуба до піднебінної площини), 6І-МР (відстань від ближньощічного вістря нижнього першого великого кутнього зуба до нижньощелепної площини), ANS-PNS (довжина верхньої щелепи), Ar-Go (довжина гілки нижньої щелепи), Go-Род (довжина основи нижньої щелепи), В-Pog (відстань від точки Род до точки В, паралельно до нижньощелепної площини) та А-В (відстань від точки А до точки В на змикальній площині); а у дівчат - лише кута ОР-НР (кут нахилу змикальної площини). Більш ніж половина цефалометричних параметрів отриманих в юнаків і дівчат Поділля з ортогнатичним прикусом мають достовірні або тенденції відмінностей з величиною даних параметрів отриманих С. J. Burstone, що підтверджує необхідність встановлення їх регіональних нормативів для коректного використання в Україні

Annotation: The difference in the characteristics of craniofacial structures in different races and ethnicities established in many studies requires the creation of a normative basis for teleroentgenographic indices and indices characteristic for a particular ethnic group. The purpose of the work is to set the cephalometric parameters by W. Downs for young men and women from Podillya region of Ukraine with orthognathic bite and compare the results with the data proposed by the author of the technique. With the device Veraviewepocs 3D device, Morita (Japan), 38 young men (17 to 21 years of age) and 55 young women (aged from 16 to 20 years) with orthognathic bite (normal occlusion close to orthognathic bite) received and analyzed lateral teleroentgenograms. Cephalometric points and measurements were performed in accordance with the recommendations of W. Downs (1948). Anatomical points were determined taking into account recommendations A.E. Athanasiou (1997), S.I. Doroshenko and Y.A. Kulginsky (2007). The statistical processing of the obtained results was carried out in the licensed package “Statistica 6.0” using nonparametric methods for evaluating the obtained results. As a result of the research, virtually no sex differences in cephalometric parameters by W. Downs between adolescents from Podillya with orthognathic bite were found. When comparing the cephalometric parameters obtained by W. Downs from similar figures obtained in Ukrainian young men and women with orthognathic bite, regardless of gender, established significantly lower values of Cant Occlusal Plane (angle POr-DOP) and angle II, as well as significantly higher values were established for angle 1l-DOP, angle 1l-MeGo and distance 1u-APog in Ukrainian young men and women of Podillya. The obtained results indicate the need to create a normative base for cephalometric standards by W. Downs for the population of different regions of Ukraine, taking into account gender and age belonging.
Встановлена в багатьох дослідженнях відмінність характеристик краніофаціальних структур у різних рас та етносів вимагає створення нормативної бази для телерентгенографічних показників та індексів, характерних для певної етнічної групи. Ціль роботи – встановити цефалометричні параметри за W. Downs у юнаків і дівчат Подільського регіону України з ортогнатичним прикусом і порівняти результати з даними, що запропоновані автором методики. За допомогою пристрою Veraviewepocs 3D, Morita (Японія), у 38 юнаків (віком від 17 до 21 року) та 55 дівчат (віком від 16 до 20 років) з ортогнатичним прикусом (нормальною оклюзією наближеною до ортогнатичного прикусу) були отримані та проаналізовані бокові телерентгенограми. Цефалометричні точки і вимірювання були проведені згідно з рекомендаціями W. Downs (1948). Анатомічні точки визначали з урахуванням рекомендацій A.E. Athanasiou (1997), С.I. Дорошенко та Є.А. Кульгинского (2007). Статистична обробка отриманих результатів проведена в ліцензійному пакеті “Statistica 6,0” з використанням непараметричних методів оцінки отриманих результатів. В результаті проведених досліджень практично не виявлено статевих розбіжностей цефалометричних параметрів за W. Downs між юнаками та дівчатами Поділля з ортогнатичним прикусом. При порівнянні цефалометричних параметрів, що отримані W. Downs від аналогічних показників, що отримані в українських юнаків і дівчат з ортогнатичним прикусом незалежно від статі, встановлені достовірно менші значення нахилу оклюзійної площини (кут POr-DOP) та кута II, а також достовірно більші значення величини кута 1l-DOP, кута 1l-MeGo та відстані 1u-APog в юнаків і дівчат Поділля. Отримані результати вказують на необхідність створення нормативної бази цефалометричних нормативів за W. Downs для населення різних регіонів України з урахуванням статевої та вікової належності.

Annotation: The lack of the ability to determine the individual standard angle characteristics of the position of the teeth and the technical provision of their control often does not lead to the expected result and in each case requires individualization, the vision of which is based, as a rule, on the experience and intuition of the doctor. In order to solve such a situation, in addition to improving the positioning protocols of the non-removable equipment, the physician should be able to clearly identify the individual angular characteristics of the tooth-jaw system. The purpose of the study – by studying computer tomography and cephalometric indices and conducting direct stepwise regression analysis to develop in Ukrainian adolescents with orthognathic bite mathematical models of individual angular positions of teeth. Using the Veraviewepocs 3D device, Morita (Japan) at 38 young men (aged from 17 to 21) and 55 young women (aged from 16 to 20 years) with normal occlusion close to orthognathic bite received and analyzed dental tomograms and lateral teleroentgenograms. Cephalometric points and measurements were performed according to recommendations of A. M. Schwarz, J. McNamara, W. B. Downs, R. A. Holdway, G. P. F. Schmuth, C. C. Steiner and C. H. Tweed. Anatomical points were determined taking into account the recommendations of A. E. Athanasiou and S. I. Doroshenko and Y. A. Kulginsky. The simulation of CT indexes describing the position of individual teeth relative to each other, to the bone cranial structures and the profile of adolescents with orthognathic bite, depending on the metric characteristics of the skull, which are usually unchanged during surgical and orthodontic treatment, as well as the width, lengths, angles and positions of the upper and lower jaws that may be altered by orthodontic surgery done. The statistical processing of the obtained results was carried out in the license package “Statistica 6.0” using a direct stepwise regression analysis. It was found that in young men of 40 possible models, 23 were constructed with a determination coefficient R2 of 0.557 to 0.832, while in young women, only 8 models with a determination coefficient R2 of 0.581 to 0.832. Moreover, in the young men – of 10 possible 9 models of vestibular-tongue inclination of corresponding teeth (R2 from 0.557 to 0.832) were constructed; out of 10 possible 5 models of mesio-distal inclination of corresponding teeth (R2 from 0.558 to 0.769) constructed; of the possible 14 constructed 6 models of rotation of the corresponding teeth (R2 from 0.579 to 0.737); and in young women - there are only 5 models of vestibular-tongue inclination of the corresponding teeth (R2 from 0.603 to 0.665). In addition, in both young men and young women, models of the size of the inter-incision angle (R2 0.748 in young men and 0.581 in young women) were constructed, the magnitude of the angle of inclination of the lower canine in the jet plane (R2 respectively 0.729 and 0.793), and the magnitude of the inclination of the closure planes relative to the palatal plane (R2 respectively 0.808 and 0.832). In the analysis it was found that in young men, most frequently models included - indicator WITS (7.0%); angle GL_SNPOG (5.4%); distance S_E, angle ММ, angle NSBA (by 4.7%); angle AB_NPOG, angle N_POG_, distance N_SE, coefficient N_SP_SP, angle P_OR_N (by 3.9%). In young women, most frequently models included – angle N_POG_ (14.3%); angle AB_NPOG (10.2%); indicator WITS (8.2%); angle ММ, angle ANB, length of the branch of the mandible R_ASC (by 6.1%). Thus, in the work with the help of the method of step-by-step regression with inclusion, among Ukrainian adolescence, on the basis of peculiarities of computer-tomographic and teleroentgenography indices, reliable models of computer-tomographic individual linear angular characteristics of the position of teeth necessary for constructing the correct three-dimensional geometry of dental arches are developed and analyzed
Коректний підхід до ортодонтичного лікування пацієнтів потребує вивчення розмірів зубів та зубних дуг у представників різних етнічних, вікових та статевих груп населення з фізіологічним прикусом в залежності від особливостей форми голови та типу обличчя. Мета роботи – встановити межі процентильного розмаху та особливості комп’ютерно-томографічних характеристик зубних дуг в юнаків і дівчат із фізіологічним прикусом в залежності від типу обличчя. Первинні комп’ютерно-томографічні розміри характеристик зубних дуг, а також кефалометричні параметри 44 юнаків та 50 дівчат із нормальною оклюзією наближеною до ортогнатичного прикусу отримані з банку даних науково-дослідного центру Вінницького національного медичного університету ім. М. І. Пирогова. Тип обличчя визначали за допомогою морфологічного індексу Гарсона. Статистичну обробку отриманих результатів проводили за допомогою ліцензійного статистичного пакету “Statistica 6.0” з використанням непараметричних методів оцінки. В юнаків і дівчат із фізіологічним прикусом із різними типами обличчя визначені межі процентильного розмаху наступних відстаней: між апексами палатинальних коренів верхніх перших кутніх зубів, між апексами дистальних щічних коренів верхніх перших кутніх зубів, між апексами медіальних вестибулярних коренів верхніх перших кутніх зубів, між апексами медіальних коренів нижніх перших великих кутніх зубів, між апексами дистальних коренів нижніх перших великих кутніх зубів, між молярними точками за Поном, між премолярними точками за Поном, між вестибулярними медіальними горбками перших великих кутніх зубів, між ріжучими горбками верхніх іклів, між апексами коренів верхніх іклів, між верхівками нижніх іклів, між апексами коренів нижніх іклів; а також іклової сагітальної відстані верхньої щелепи, премолярної сагітальної відстані верхньої щелепи, молярної сагітальної відстані верхньої щелепи, глибини піднебіння на рівні іклів, глибини піднебіння на рівні перших малих кутніх зубів і глибини піднебіння на рівні перших великих кутніх зубів. Встановлені межі процентильного розмаху комп’ютерно-томографічних розмірів характеристик зубних дуг у юнаків із широким і дівчат із широким та дуже широким типами обличчя, що мають нормальну оклюзію наближену до ортогнатичного прикусу. Встановлено, що в юнаків відстані між апексами медіальних вестибулярних коренів верхніх перших кутніх зубів, між молярними та премолярними точками за Поном, між вестибулярними медіальними горбками перших великих кутніх зубів, між ріжучими горбками верхніх іклів, між апексами коренів верхніх іклів, а також премолярна та молярна сагітальні відстані верхньої щелепи достовірно більші (р0,05-0,001), ніж у дівчат із відповідним типом обличчям. Annotation: Taking into account the importance of determining the teleroentgenographic indicators of the spatial position of central incisors, arises a scientific and clinical interest in conducting such studies. The purpose of the study is to develop mathematical models of individual characteristics of the position of upper central incisors in young men and women of Ukraine with orthognathic bite by studying the cephalometric indices and conducting direct stepwise regression analysis. With the help of Veraviewepocs 3D device, Morita (Japan) 38 young men (aged 17 to 21 years) and 55 young women (aged 16 to 20 years) with occlusion close to orthognathic bite and balanced faces received side teleroentgenograms. Cephalometric analysis was performed using OnyxCeph³™ software. Cephalometric points and measurements were performed according to the recommendations of A.M. Schwarz, J. McNamara, W.B. Downs, R.A. Holdway, P.F. Schmuth, C.C. Steiner and C.H. Tweed. In the licensed statistical package “Statistica 6.0”, using the direct stepwise regression analysis, the following teleroentgenographic characteristics of the position of the upper central incisors were performed: distance 1u_APog, distance 1u_Avert, distance 1u_NA, angle Max1_NA, angle Max1_SN and angle Max1_SpP. In young men and women with occlusion close to orthognathic bite and balanced face, reliable regression models of individual teleroentgenographic characteristics of the position of upper central incisors with a determination coefficient of greater than 0.50 have been developed, depending on the peculiarities of the metric characteristics of the craniofacial complex: in young men of 6 possible models, have been constructed 5 with coefficients of determination R2 from 0.672 to 0.928, and for young women – all 6 possible models with determination coefficient R2 from 0.508 to 0.663. In the analysis of models with a determination coefficient higher than 0.50, it was found that in young men most often the regression equations include - the angle AB_NPOG (12.0%); distance COND_GN, inclination angle I, MAX maxillary length, Se_N distance, Nap angle, NBa-PtGn angle, SND angle and Wits indicator (by 8.0%). In young women most often models include – the angle AB_NPOG and the Wits indicator (by 15.4%); angle N_POG (11.5%); the angle Gl’SnPog’ and the distance LPALAT (by 7.7%)
Враховуючи важливість визначення телерентгенографічних показників просторового положення присередніх різців виникає наукова та клінічна зацікавленість у проведенні подібних досліджень. Мета дослідження – шляхом вивчення цефалометричних показників і проведення прямого покрокового регресійного аналізу розробити у юнаків та дівчат України з ортогнатичним прикусом математичні моделі індивідуальних характеристик положення верхніх присередніх різців. За допомогою пристрою Veraviewepocs 3D, Моріта (Япония) у 38 юнаків (віком від 17 до 21 року) та 55 дівчат (віком від 16 до 20 років) з оклюзією, наближеною до ортогнатичного прикусу, та збалансованими обличчями були отримані бокові телерентгенограми. Цефалометричний аналіз проводили за допомогою програмного забезпечення OnyxCeph³™. Цефалометричні точки та вимірювання проводили згідно рекомендацій A.M. Schwarz, J. McNamara, W.B. Downs, R.A. Holdway, P.F. Schmuth, C.C. Steiner та C.H. Tweed. У ліцензійному статистичному пакеті “Statistica 6.0” з використанням прямого покрокового регресійного аналізу проведено моделювання наступних телерентгенографічних характеристик положення верхніх присередніх різців: відстані 1u_APog, відстані 1u_Avert, відстані 1u_NA, кута Max1_NA, кута Max1_SN і кута Max1_SpP. В юнаків і дівчат із оклюзією, наближеною до ортогнатичного прикусу, та збалансованим обличчям розроблені достовірні регресійні моделі індивідуальних телерентгенографічних характеристик положення верхніх присередніх різців з коефіцієнтом детермінації більшим 0,50 в залежності від особливостей метричних характеристик краніофаціального комплексу: в юнаків із 6 можливих моделей побудовано 5 з коефіцієнтом детермінації R2 від 0,672 до 0,928, а у дівчат – усі 6 можливих моделей з коефіцієнтом детермінації R2 від 0,508 до 0,663. При аналізі моделей з коефіцієнтом детермінації більшим 0,50 встановлено, що в юнаків найбільш часто до регресійних рівнянь входять – кут AB_NPOG (12,0%); відстань COND_GN, інклінаційний кут І, довжина верхньої щелепи MAX, відстань Se_N, кут NаPog, кут NBa-PtGn, кут SND та показник Wits (по 8,0%). У дівчат найбільш часто до моделей входять – кут AB_NPOG і показник Wits (по 15,4%); кут N_POG (11,5%); кут Gl’SnPog’ і відстань LPALAT (по 7,7%).

Annotation: To date, there are no clear recommendations on the use of a particular indicator, cephalometric method, normative basis for the inhabitants of Ukraine when assessing the cephalometric characteristics of the occlusal plane. The purpose of the study - by studying cephalometric indices and conducting direct stepwise regression analysis - develop in young men and women of Ukraine with orthognathic bite mathematical models of individual characteristics of the position of the occlusal plane. In 38 young men (aged 17-21 years) and 55 young women (aged from 16 to 20 years) with occlusion close to orthognathic bite and balanced faces, lateral teleroentgenograms were obtained using the Veraviewepocs 3D device, Morita (Japan). Cephalometric analysis was performed using OnyxCeph³™ software. Cephalometric points and measurements were performed according to the recommendations of W. B. Downs, J. McNamara, R. A. Holdway, P. F. Schmuth, A. M. Schwarz, C. C. Steiner and C. H. Tweed. In the licensed statistical package "Statistica 6.0", using regression analysis, the following teleroentgenographic characteristics of the position of the occlusal plane were simulated: the angle YGOCLPl, the angle POR_DOP, the angle POR_OCP, and the SN_OSP angle. It was established that in both young men and women, all four possible models with a determination coefficient from 0.808 to 0.998 in young men and from 0.832 to 0.974 in young women were constructed. In the analysis of models of teleroentgenographic characteristics of the position of the occlusal plane, depending on the peculiarities of the metric characteristics of the craniofacial complex, it was found that in young men the most frequent regression equations include - the Wits indicator (21.1% for all four equations), the angle AB_NPOG (15.8%) and the distance PN_POG (10.5%). In young women, most often the regression equations include - Wits indicator (17.4% - also to all 4 equations); angle AB_NPOG, distance AFH, angle MM and angle SN_GoGn (by 8.7%). So, using the method of stepwise regression, among Ukrainians of juvenile, based on the features of teleroentgenographic indicators, reliable models of individual cephalometric characteristics of the occlusal plane were created
На сьогоднішній день немає чітких рекомендацій щодо застосування того чи іншого показника, цефалометричного методу, нормативної бази для мешканців України при оцінці цефалометричних характеристик змикальної площини. Мета дослідження – шляхом вивчення цефалометричних показників і проведення прямого покрокового регресійного аналізу розробити у юнаків і дівчат України з ортогнатичним прикусом математичні моделі індивідуальних характеристик положення змикальної площини. У 38 юнаків (віком від 17 до 21 року) та 55 дівчат (віком від 16 до 20 років) з оклюзією наближеною до ортогнатичного прикусу та збалансованими обличчями були отримані бокові телерентгенограми за допомогою пристрою Veraviewepocs 3D, Моріта (Японія). Цефалометричний аналіз проводили за допомогою програмного забезпечення OnyxCeph³™. Цефалометричні точки та вимірювання проводили згідно рекомендацій W. B. Downs, J. McNamara, R. A. Holdway, P. F. Schmuth, A. M. Schwarz, C. C. Steiner та C. H. Tweed. Встановлено, що як в юнаків, так і у дівчат побудовані усі 4 можливих моделі з коефіцієнтом детермінації від 0,808 до 0,998 в юнаків і від 0,832 до 0,974 у дівчат. При аналізі моделей телерентгенографічних характеристик положення змикальної площини в залежності від особливостей метричних характеристик краніофаціального комплексу встановлено, що в юнаків найбільш часто до регресійних рівнянь входять – показник Wits (21,1% – до усіх 4 рівнянь), кут AB_NPOG (15,8%) та відстань РN_POG (10,5%). У дівчат найбільш часто до регресійних рівнянь входять – показник Wits (17,4% – також до усіх 4 рівнянь); кут AB_NPOG, відстань AFH, кут ММ та кут SN_GoGn (по 8,7%). Таким чином, за допомогою методу покрокової регресії з включенням, у українців юнацького віку, на основі особливостей телерентгенографічних показників розроблені достовірні моделі індивідуальних телерентгенографічних характеристик положення змикальної площини

Annotation: Modern dentistry requires the definition of individualized values of teleroentgenographic indicators. To solve such problems, methods of regression and correlation analysis are increasingly used, which help to establish not only the existence of various relationships between the anatomical structures of the head and the parameters of the dento-jaw system, but also allow more accurately predict the change in the contour of soft facial tissue in response to orthodontic treatment. The purpose of the study is to develop mathematical models for the determination of individual teleroentgenographic characteristics of the facial soft tissues by studying the cephalometric indices of young men and women of Ukraine with normal occlusion and balanced faces and conducting a direct stepwise regression analysis. With the use of Veraviewepocs 3D device, Morita (Japan) from 38 young men (17 to 21 years of age) and 55 young women (aged from 16 to 20 years) with occlusal close to the orthognathic bite and balanced faces received side teleroentgenograms. The cephalometric analysis was performed using OnyxCeph³™ licensed software. Cephalometric points and measurements were made according to the recommendations of Downs W. B., Holdway R. A., McNamara J., Schwarz A. M., Schmuth G. P. F., Steiner C. C. and Tweed C. H. With the help of direct stepwise regression analysis, in the licensed package “Statistica 6.0”, regression models of individual teleroentgenographic characteristics of the profile of soft facial tissues were constructed. In young men with normal occlusion close to the orthognathic bite of 19 possible models, 11 were constructed with a determination coefficient from 0.638 to 0.930, and in young women – 12 models with a determination coefficient from 0.541 to 0.927. The conducted analysis of models showed that in young men most often the regression equations included – angle N_POG, parameters of which indicate a linear interjaw relation in the anterior-posterior direction (14.0%); angle GL_SNPOG, or index of convexity of the soft tissue profile (8.8%); MAX maxillary length (7.0%), and GL_SN_S index, which defines vertical correlations in the facial profile (5.3%). The young women most often models included – the angle N_POG (12.5%); angle GL_SNPOG (7.5%); soft tissue front angle P_OR_N (6.25%); the reference angle ML_NL and the profile angle T (by 5.0%); the angle AB_NPOG, the angle NBA_PTGN, which defines the direction of development of the mandible and the distance PN_A (3.75%). Thus, in the work with the help of the method of stepwise regression with inclusion, among Ukrainians of adolescence age, based on the characteristics of teleroentgenographic indicators, reliable models of individual teleroentgenographic characteristics of the profile of soft facial tissues were developed and analyzed.
Сучасна стоматологія вимагає визначення індивідуалізованих значень телерентгенографічних показників. Для вирішення подібних завдань все частіше використовують методи регресійного та кореляційного аналізів, які допомагають встановити не лише наявність різного роду залежностей між анатомічними структурами голови та параметрами зубощелепної системи, але і дозволяють більш точно передбачати зміні контуру м’яких тканин обличчя у відповідь на ортодонтичне лікування. Мета дослідження – шляхом вивчення цефалометричних показників юнаків і дівчат України із нормальною оклюзією та збалансованими обличчями і проведення прямого покрокового регресійного аналізу розробити математичні моделі визначення індивідуальних телерентгенографічних характеристик профілю м’яких тканин обличчя. За допомогою пристрою Veraviewepocs 3D, Моріта (Япония) у 38 юнаків (віком від 17 до 21 року) та 55 дівчат (віком від 16 до 20 років) з оклюзією, наближеною до ортогнатичного прикусу та збалансованими обличчями були отримані бокові телерентгенограми. В юнаків із нормальною оклюзією, наближеною до ортогнатичного прикусу із 19 можливих моделей побудовано 11 з коефіцієнтом детермінації від 0,638 до 0,930, а у дівчат – 12 моделей з коефіцієнтом детермінації від 0,541 до 0,927. Проведений аналіз моделей показав, що в юнаків найбільш часто до регресійних рівнянь входили – кут N_POG, параметри якого вказують на лінійне міжщелепне співвідношення у передньо-задньому напрямку (14,0%); кут GL_SNPOG, або показник опуклості м’якотканинного профілю (8,8%); довжина верхньої щелепи MAX (7,0%), а також індекс GL_SN_S, який визначає вертикальні співвідношення у лицевому профілі (5,3%). У дівчат найбільш часто до моделей входили – кут N_POG (12,5%); кут GL_SNPOG (7,5%); м’якотканний лицевий кут P_OR_N (6,25%); базисний кут ML_NL та профільний кут T (по 5,0%); кут AB_NPOG, кут NBA_PTGN, який визначає напрямок розвитку нижньої щелепи та відстань PN_A (по 3,75%). Таким чином в роботі за допомогою методу покрокової регресії з включенням, у українців юнацького віку, на основі особливостей телерентгенографічних показників розроблені та проаналізовані достовірні моделі індивідуальних телерентгенографічних характеристик профілю м’яких тканин обличчя.

Annotation: The question of the relationship between the metric characteristics of cranial structures and odontometric parameters, and the possibility of building models based on them, which can later find their practical application in dental practice, remain a pressing problem of modern medical science. The purpose of the study is to establish the features of the relationship between the linear dimensions of molars with the cephalometric parameters of the brain and facial skull of practically healthy men in the northern region of Ukraine. 32 practically healthy residents of the northern region of Ukraine (from Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy and Chernihiv regions) underwent computed tomography followed by odontometry of molars and cephalometry. The correlations between odontometric and cephalometric parameters were assessed using Spearman’s nonparametric statistics in the licensed package “Statistica 6.1”. The peculiarities of the correlations of the studied characteristics of molars with the indicators of the cerebral skull are established – multiple, only direct reliable (r = 0.35-0.57) and unreliable (r = 0.30-0.35) average correlation force (18.7% on the upper jaw, of which the relative majority with vestibular-lingual and mesio-distal dimensions and 24.1% on the lower jaw, of which the relative majority with the height of the teeth, their crowns and the length of the tooth roots); as well as with the indicators of the facial skull – mostly direct reliable (r = 0.35-0.51) and unreliable medium strength (r = 0.30-0.37) correlations, in most cases of a single nature (6.0% on the upper jaw and 6.6% on the lower jaw, almost uniformly with the height of the teeth, their crowns, root length, vestibular-lingual and mesio-distal dimensions). The results of correlation analysis of craniofacial structures are necessary for the correct construction of mathematical models, which can later find their practical application in dental practice and forensic medicine
Питання взаємозв’язку метричних характеристик черепних структур і одонтометричних показників, та можливість побудови на їх основі моделей, що в подальшому можуть знайти своє практичне застосування в стоматологічній практиці, залишаються актуальною проблемою сучасної медичної науки. Мета дослідження – встановити особливості зв’язків лінійних розмірів великих кутніх зубів з кефалометричними показниками мозкового та лицевого черепа практично здорових чоловіків північного регіону України. У 32 практично здорових мешканців північного регіону України (з Київської, Житомирської, Сумської та Чернігівської областей) проведено комп’ютерну томографію з наступною одонтометрією великих кутніх зубів та кефалометрію. Оцінку кореляцій між одонтометричними і кефалометричними показниками проводили з використанням непараметричної статистики Спірмена у ліцензійному пакеті “Statistica 6.1”. Встановлені особливості зв’язків досліджених характеристик великих кутніх зубів із показниками мозкового черепу – множинні, лише прямі достовірні (r = 0,35-0,57) та недостовірні (r = 0,30-0,35) середньої сили кореляції (18,7% на верхній щелепі, з яких відносна більшість із присінково-язиковими і мезіо-дистальними розмірами та 24,1% на нижній щелепі, з яких відносна більшість із висотою зубів, їх коронок і довжиною коренів зубів); а також із показниками лицьового черепу – переважно прямі достовірні (r = 0,35-0,51) та недостовірні середньої сили (r = 0,30-0,37) зв’язки, у більшості випадків поодинокого характеру (6,0% на верхній щелепі та 6,6% на нижній щелепі, майже рівномірно з висотою зубів, їх коронок, довжиною коренів, присінково-язиковими та мезіо-дистальними розмірами). Результати кореляційного аналізу краніофаціальних структур необхідні для коректної побудови математичних моделей, які в подальшому можуть знайти своє практичне застосування в стоматологічній практиці та в судовій медицині

Annotation: Orthodontics is a rapidly evolving branch of dentistry in both theoretical and practical areas. Modern instrumental research methods used in it organically coexist with the already classical ones, perfectly complementing each other. It is such a classic method that is actively used in the practice of orthodontics is cephalometric analysis, which nevertheless requires updates over time and the emergence of new scientific data. The aim of the study was to establish the limits of percentile range and features of cephalometric parameters according to the Downs method in Ukrainian young men and young women with orthognathic occlusion depending on the type of face. 49 young men and 76 young women with orthognathic occlusion underwent a cephalometric study using the Downs method in OnyxCeph³™ software, 3DPro version, Image Instruments GmbH, Germany (license № URSQ-1799). The division into facial types was performed using the Garson index. The licensed statistical package "Statistica 6.0" using non-parametric assessment methods analyzed the second (characteristics of the jaws by the method of Downs) and the third (indicators by the method of Downs that characterize the position of the teeth) groups of indicators. Studies have shown that most of the reliable or tendencies of differences in cephalometric parameters by the method of Downs in both young men and young women (more pronounced) with orthognathic occlusion, between different types of faces belong to the second group of indicators (dental characteristics of which surgical methods you can change the length, width, angles and positions of the upper and lower jaws). Manifestations of sexual dimorphism of cephalometric parameters by the method of Downs between young men and young women with appropriate facial types are insignificant and also, in almost all cases, belong to the second group of indicators. The established limits of percentile scope and features of cephalometric parameters according to the Downs method in Ukrainian young men and young women with orthognathic occlusion depending on the type of face will improve the existing methods of treatment of dental patients
Ортодонтія є розділом стоматології, що швидко розвивається як в теоретичному, так і в практичному напрямках. Сучасні інструментальні методи дослідження, що використовуються у ній органічно співіснують з вже класичними, ідеально доповнюючи одне одного. Саме таким класичним методом, що активно використовується у практиці ортодонта, є цефалометричний аналіз, котрий, тим не менш, вимагає оновлень відповідно до плину часу і появи нових наукових даних. Мета дослідження – встановити межі процентильного розмаху та особливості цефалометричних параметрів за методом Downs в українських юнаків і дівчат з ортогнатичним прикусом в залежності від типу обличчя. 49 юнакам і 76 дівчатам з ортогнатичним прикусом у програмному забезпеченні OnyxCeph³™, версії 3DPro, компанії Image Instruments GmbH, Німеччина (ліцензія № URSQ-1799) проведено цефалометричне дослідження за методикою Downs. Розподіл на типи обличчя проводили за допомогою індексу Гарсона. В ліцензійному статистичному пакеті “Statistica 6.0” з використанням непараметричних методів оцінки проведено аналіз другої (характеристики щелеп за методом Downs) та третьої (показники за методом Downs які характеризують положення зубів) груп показників. В результаті проведених досліджень встановлено, що більшість достовірних або тенденцій розбіжностей цефалометричних параметрів за методом Downs як в юнаків, так і у дівчат (більш виражено) з ортогнатичним прикусом, між різними типами обличчя відносяться до другої групи показників (зубо-щелепні характеристики, котрим хірургічними методами можна змінити довжину, ширину, кути та положення верхньої та нижньої щелеп). Прояви статевого диморфізму цефалометричних параметрів за методом Downs між юнаками та дівчатами з відповідними типами обличчя незначні і також, практично в усіх випадках, відносяться до другої групи показників. Встановлені межі процентильного розмаху та особливості цефалометричних параметрів за методом Downs в українських юнаків і дівчат з ортогнатичним прикусом у залежності від типу обличчя дозволять удосконалити існуючі методи лікування стаматологічних пацієнтів

Annotation: During the existence of the X-ray method of research, numerous author’s methods of cephalometric examination and analysis using the method of lateral teleroentgenography (methods by Schwarz, Down’s, Steiner, Tweed’s, Harvold, Ricketts, McNamara, Jaraback, Burstone, Bjork, etc.) have been developed. Dentists around the world prefer certain methods, each of which has its advantages and disadvantages. But there is still no single unified methodology for such research and doctors and researchers are constantly trying to improve them and gain new information about their effectiveness. The aim of the study was to establish cephalometric teleroentgenographic parameters and determine their features in Ukrainian young men and women with orthognathic occlusion depending on profiles and facial types according to Schwarz A.M. (hereinafter orthognathic occlusion), divided into separate groups of studies on different profiles and different face types according to Schwarz A.M. (3 groups of different profiles and 3 groups of different face types for people of each sex). Cephalometric teleroentgenographic parameters, which usually do not change during surgery and orthodontic interventions, were studied. Statistical mathematical processing of the research results was performed in the licensed package “Statistica 6.0” using non-parametric methods of evaluation of the obtained results. Numerical reliable and tendencies of differences in certain indicators between groups of young men or women with different profiles or face types have been established. The greatest differences, both in young men and women, were recorded between the indicators determined by the methods of cephalometry by Schwarz A.M. and Bjork A., and the least – by the method of Ricketts R.M. The obtained results testify to the expediency of using the division of young men and women into separate groups by profile and type of face to adhere to the personalized principle in the morphological assessment of cephalometric and gnatometric indicators of lateral teleroentgenography
За час існування рентгенологічного методу дослідження розроблені чисельні авторські методики цефалометричного дослідження та аналізу з застосуванням методу бокової телерентгенографії (методики Schwarz, Down’s, Steiner, Tweed’s, Harvold, Ricketts, McNamara, Jaraback, Burstone, Bjork тощо). Лікарі-стоматологи різних країн світу надають перевагу певним окремим методикам, кожна з яких має як свої переваги, так і окремі недоліки. Але досі не існує єдиної уніфікованої методики таких досліджень і постійно лікарі та дослідники намагаються їх удосконалити і отримати нові відомості щодо їх ефективності. Мета дослідження – встановлення цефалометричних телерентгенографічних показників і визначення їх особливостей в українських юнаків і дівчат із ортогнатичним прикусом в залежності від профілів і типів обличчя за Schwarz A.M. Проведено цефалометричне дослідження і аналіз бокових телерентгенограм голови у 49 юнаків та 76 дівчат із фізіологічним прикусом максимально наближеним до ортогнатичного (в подальшому ортогнатичний прикус), розділених на окремі групи досліджень за різними профілями і різними типами обличчя за Schwarz A.M. (по 3 групи різного профілю і по 3 групи різного типу обличчя для осіб кожної статі). Досліджували цефалометричні телерентгенографічні показники, які зазвичай не змінюються під час проведення хірургічних та ортодонтичних втручань. Статистичну математичну обробку результатів дослідження провели в ліцензійному пакеті “Statistica 6.0” з використанням непараметричних методів оцінки отриманих результатів. Встановлені чисельні достовірні та тенденції відмінностей за визначеними показниками між групами юнаків, або дівчат з різними профілями, або типами обличчя. Найбільше відмінностей, як у юнаків, так і у дівчат зафіксовано між показниками, визначеними за методиками цефалометрії за Schwarz A.M. та за Bjork A., а найменше – за методикою Ricketts R.M. Отримані результати свідчать про доцільність використання розподілу юнаків і дівчат на окремі групи за профілем і типом обличчя для дотримання персоналізованого принципу у морфологічній оцінці цефалометричних і гнатометричних показників бокових телерентгенограм
