Анотація: Extreme syrups can be manufactured using substances or ready medicinal drugs as the active pharmaceutical ingredient. There is a necessity in the development and validation of analytical methods that can be used for quality control of pharmaceutical manufacturing of syrups containing furosemide. The aim of the study – to develop and validate assay method for furosemide in extemporaneous syrups prepared from both pure substance and finished products. Methods of the research. For proposed UV spectrophotometric assay method the conditions of analysis, sample preparation and validation characteristics were defined. Suspensions of substance and crushed commercial tablets were dissolved in 0.1 M sodium hydroxide solution and evaluated spectrophotometrically in ultraviolet region of light at a wavelength 271 nm using method of specific absorbance. Results and Discussion. Samples comply with the Beer-Lambert Bouguer law within the concentration range of 8×10-3 – 1.2×10-2 mg/ml with correlation coefficients ≥ 0.9981. The uncertainty of the methods was well within the critical value of the error (0.72 %≤ maxΔAs) for both samples of syrup containing pure substance and commercial tablets. Recovery studies for furosemide in syrup samples of substance and crushed commercial tablets yielded 99.92 ±0.54 % and 99.14±0.16 % respectively. Assay limit of ±10 % by the validation parameters: specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy within the range of 80–120 % of the nominal contents was met by all compounded preparations. Conclusions. The results of validation proved that this method can be reproduced correctly and is suitable for use in pharmaceutical analysis. Adoption of this method is planned in evaluating uniformity of content and, in combination of other methods, ascertain chemical stability study of compounded furosemide syrupsЕкстемпоральні сиропи можуть бути виготовлені із застосуванням субстанцій або готових лікарських препаратів як активного фармацевтичного інгредієнта. Існує необхідність у розробці та валідації аналітичних методик, які можна використовувати для контролю якості сиропів аптечного виготовлення, що містять фуросемід. Мета дослідження – розробка та валідація методики кількісного визначення фуросеміду в екстемпоральних сиропах, виготовлених як з чистої субстанції, так і готових лікарських засобів. Методи дослідження. Для запропонованої УФ-спектрофотометричної методики кількісного визначення були визначені умови аналізу, пробопідготовка, валідаційні характеристики. Зразки суспензій субстанції і подрібнених таблеток розчиняли в 0,1 М розчині натрію гідроксиду й оцінювали спектрофотометрично в ультрафіолетовій ділянці світла при довжині хвилі 271 нм з використанням методу питомого показника поглинання

Анотація: Cetylpyridinium hexaﬂuorosilicate has been proposed as a caries preventive and antibacterial agent for use as a gel for oral application, which requires development of quality control methods. Aim. To develop the method for the quantitative determination of cetylpyridinium hexaﬂuorosilicate in a dosage form using HPLC. The object of the study is the experimental dosage form – a gel proposed for use in dental practice. The research method is HPLC. The method for the quantitative determination of the active component, which allows determining cetylpyridinium hexaﬂuorosilicate in the gel in the presence of excipients of the dosage form, has been developed. It is recommended to carry out this determination by the HPLC method using the column of 150 × 4.6 mm in size flled with octadecyl silica gel for chromatography, the sorbent particle size of 3.5 μm, a mixture of perchlorate buffer solution (pH 3.0) and acetonitrile (30 : 70) as a mobile phase and UV detection at the wavelength of 254 nmЦетилпіридинію гексафлуоросилікат запропонований як карієс-профілактичний та антибактеріальний засіб для застосування у вигляді гелю з метою оральних аплікацій, який потребує розробки методик контролю якості. Мета роботи: розробка методики кількісного визначення цетилпіридинію гексафлуоросилікату методом ВЕРХ у лікарській формі. Об’єктом дослідження є експериментальна лікарська форма гель, запропонована для використання у стоматологічній практиці. Метод дослідження – ВЕРХ. У ході дослідження розроблена методика кількісного визначення діючого компоненту, яка дозволяє визначити цетилпіридинію гексафлуоросилікат у гелі у присутності допоміжних речовин лікарської форми. Визначення рекомендовано проводити методом ВЕРХ на колонці розміром 150 ×4,6 мм, заповненій силікагелем октадецилсилільним для хроматографії з розміром зерен сорбенту 3,5 мкм з використанням як рухомої фази суміші перхлоратного буферного розчину рН 3,0 і ацетонітрилу (30 : 70) та УФ-детектуванням за довжини хвилі 254 нм

Анотація: Today three national manufacturers produce famotidine tablets, but the SPhU does not contain any monograph for this dosage form. Aim. To verify TLC and study the possibility of using the HPTLC method for identification of famotidine in tablets. Materials and methods. The objects of the study were three batches of famotidine tablets. TLC and HPTLC were used as the methods of the study. Results and discussion. The possibility of using TLC and HPTLC methods for identification of famotidine tablets was confirmed in the study. The main spots of the test solutions corresponded to the size and the Rf value of the main spots of the standard solution. The Rf value for all solutions was 0.5. Conclusions. Thus, TLC as well as HPTLC can be recommended for inclusion to the SPhU; however, HPTLC is more economically advantageous
