Аннотация: Rose hips are the pharmacopoeial raw material, and its roots have been widely used in folk medicine. Therefore, these roots attracted our attention. The chemical composition of roots of both Rosa species has been poorly studied. The data of literature sources show that roots contain phenolic compounds, organic acids and amino acids. Rose hips are standardized by the quantitative content of the amount of organic acids and ascorbic acid according to the State Pharmacopoeia of the USSR of the XI-th edition. According to the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine (SPhU) 2.0 this raw material is standardized by the quantitative content of ascorbic acid
