Annotation: Метою пропонованої статті є ознайомлення наукової спільноти України з технічними можливостями міжнародної наукометричної бази даних Scopus, яка сьогодні вважається однією з найавторитетніших у світі за даними якої складаються міжнародні рейтинги як освітніх установ, так і науковців. У роботі показано одну з найпоширеніших проблем, що виникають при створенні та наповненні власної сторінки автора, висвітлено основні її причини. Запропоновано методологію вирішення проблеми “дублюючих” профілів науковця, яку пропонує команда технічної підтримки вказаної бази даних і яка може бути реалізована у межах режиму тестового (безкоштовного) доступу до бази
The purpose of this article is to familiarize the scientific community of Ukraine with the technical capabilities of the international scientific database Scopus, which today is one of the authoritative in the world and according to the data of which both international educational institutions and scientists are ranked. We show one of the most common issues that arise at the creating and filling of the author’s profile, and cover те main causes of this problem. It is proposed the methodology for solving the prob- of “duplicated" researcher profiles, which is offered by the Scopus support team aid which can be implemented within a test (free) access mode to the database
