Materials and methods. The object of our study was 7 batches of “Venocoryl” ointment developed in the laboratory conditions. In all batches such indicators as uniformity, colloidal stability, thermostability, as well as the pH of water extracts, the particle size, and the microbiological purity of the ointment were determined. The spectral characteristics of the solution were recorded; the optical density of the solution obtained was measured on a Cary 60 UV-Vis Agilent Technologies spectrophotometer (USA) in the wavelength range of 300-500 nm. Results and discussion. The ointment of all batches represents a homogeneous oily mass with light brownish-yellow color and a specific pleasant odor. All batches of the ointment meet the requirement of uniformity and satisfy the test on the colloidal stability. They are also thermostable. The pH of “Venocoryl” ointment was in the range from 5.68 to 5.75. The content of the amount of flavonoids calculated with reference to rutin should be not less than 1.0 %. Conclusions. In 7 batches of a new original medicine – “Venocoryl” ointment – a number of indicators, such as uniformity, colloidal stability, pH and thermostability has been determined; determination of the quantitative content of the amount of flavonoids has been carried out (the lower limit of the quantitative content of the amount of flavonoids calculated with reference to the substance is not less than 1.0 %).
